Anne Jackson’s “Permission to Speak Freely”

ptsfI recently received a copy of “Permission to Speak Freely” in the mail. This isn’t too odd. I occasionally agree to review an author’s book and the publisher will send me a complimentary copy. But that’s not what happened here. The package came from Chicago, not Nashville (which is the where Thomas Publishing is headquartered). The book wasn’t accompanied by a note, packing slip, or invoice. I facebooked (that’s a verb now, right?) the author, Anne Jackson, to acknowledge I received the book. She didn’t know me and didn’t know how I got the book. (more…)
