Larry is a native of Erie, PA and have served as an associate pastor at
Grace Church since 1997. Prior to that, Larry worked in the mental
health field with children and adolescents.
Larry graduated from Trinity International University, Deerfield,
IL with a degree in Biblical Studies with emphases in Old
Testament and Biblical Languages. (Back then it was simply Trinity
College.)
Larry has a passion for working with children and has contributed to
over fourteen multi-authored resources including the Gold Medallion
winning Hands-On Bible. Larry is a frequent contributor to Children's Ministry Magazine. His two books for children's ministry leaders are Lead the Way God Made You and Big Hairy Issues Kids Face.
Larry writes
monthly columns for both www.nappaland.com, a website dedicated to
writing balanced movie, book, and music reviews and
www.churchvolunteercentral.com.
Larry unwinds by listening to jazz. Miles Davis, Monk, Coltrane and
Chick Corea are among his favorites. Larry earned a black belt in Tae
Kwon Do but hasn't thrown a round house since he finished writing Lead the Way God Made You.
Larry once prayed the Prayer of Jabez incorrectly and ended up with a
perpetually expanding waist-line. Larry regrets having never
traveled America in a VW van to find God. Now that he is the father of
three, odds are that trip like would make him lose his faith. |
