I like how Greg Koukl, of Stand to Reason, framed his response to Bell’s book. He said that if the main premise of the book, namel that “love wins,” was expressed as a syllogism Bell’s logic would be found to be flawed.

    God is love.
    God wins.
    Therefore, love wins.

We could populate such syllogisms with divine attributes all the live long day, and still miss it. Because if that previous one is true, then so is:

    God is just.
    God wins.
    Therefore, justice wins.

(Of course a book entitled ‘Justice Wins’ would neither make as many waves, nor sell as many copies).
